Tracy Fullerton, deputy executive director of the recently-formed Higher Education Video Game Alliance, will present the results of Alliance surveys on the field of academic game design, development and research. The surveys will provide info about placement, salaries and retention of graduates, as well as a comprehensive picture of the breadth and depth of research taking place in the games arena, and lead to a dialogue with attendees about the role of academia in the field of game design and development in a 21st century learning environment.
