Overview:

Many design track talks focus on the theory of game design, few on the technique of level design and scripting. Forrest Dowling (Bioshock: Infinite, The Flame in the Flood) will use examples from his work as well as notable moments from other titles to illustrate ways that a designer can use standard level design scripting tools expressively. This includes both as an expressive tool for communicating with the player as well as opportunities to create moments for player expression. In other words: how to use delays, gates, and triggers effectively.
