From J2ME to iOS: Galaxy on Fire 2 on the iPad and iPhone

Overview:

Galaxy on Fire is an acclaimed hardcore mobile Java game and the iPhone version has been picked by Apple as one of the best 100 games in 2009. Now its sequel is coming to iPhone and iPad and Marc Hehmeyer will give deep insights about the fundamental changes that had to be made and the vast overhaul of the entire game design. The session includes conceptional considerations but also technical issues like enhancing graphical assets, multi-layered audio design and getting the most out of the OpenGL hardware using LOD, batching, culling, mipmap and float operations.
