When tasked with creating a cross-platform medical app that would offer medical recommendations to doctors based on patient data, Zimmbot created a solution to compartmentalize the "recommendation engine." In this talk, Patrick Childers, CTO of Zimmdot, will discuss how they used javascript as the model / algorithm layer and completely native UIs for a native experience on both iOS and Android. He'll also cover the pro and cons of other alternatives such as going completely HTML5, and how they decided on their hybrid platform.
